Skeptical, the officers accuse him of being under the influence of drugs, and even go as far as calling him mentally disturbed. He is so scared, tjat he runs for 15 miles, to the nearest police station.Īt the police station, Guerrero, exhausted, explains that he has seen real-life “vampires.” The officers mock him, they think his story is extremely hard to believe. He peaks in, and sees several cult members in the middle of a human sacrifice. He hears strange sounds and sees strange lights coming from within the depth of the cave. Sometime in May of 1963, Sebastian Guerrero, a local 14-year-old boy, is walking home, when he is drawn to a nearby cave. In total, six people would be sacrificed. Each sacrifice gets progressively more depraved, to the point that the cultists had started to remove the hearts of the victims - while they were still alive. The practice of ritual sacrifice continues for six weeks straight. The other cultists are ordered to lynch the pair. Solis is not moved and, without hesistation, she sentences them to death the very same day. They complain, in part, that they are tired of the rampant sexual abuse. Subsequently, both cultists are brought before Solis. Also, at this time, she is the middle of an incestuous sexual relationship with her brother.Ī few weeks after Solis takes over, two cult members express a strong desire to leave the cult. Furthermore, she introduces new, abhorrent, sexual perversions, like sadism and pedophilia. In particular, she introduces the practice of vampirism - because she is, after all, the High Priestess of Blood. Under her leadership, new, more intese rituals become introduced. Soon, she would take over the cult as its leader, and her ideas of granduer would only grow from there. Solis would take her role seriously, and it wasn’t long before she started slip into religuous delusion, believing the very same lies she helped create. Magdalena, on the other hand, is lavishly introduced to the cultists as the “High Priestess of Blood,” and the reincarnation of the goddess Coatlicue, the mother of the Gods.
Once back in Yerba Buena, Eleazar is introduced as another high priest. It wasn’t too long, however, before the villagers started to question the authenticity of brothers’ claims, especially since they were realizing that their so-called “contributions” were not being rewarded by the Gods.
The sex then soon evolved, leading to bizarre drug-fueled orgies. Then villagers would allow themselves to be treated as sex-slaves and would contribute sexual favors. They start by offering tributes, rewarding the brothers with paltry monetary contributions. However, they add, that if the village devoted themselves to the Gods and worshipped the brothers as priests, that the Gods would lead them to propsperity and untold amounts of hidden riches.Īlmost without question, the townsfolk falls in line and agree to meet the brothers’ demands. The brothers caution the villagers that nonbelievers would be punished. Immediately upon their arrival, Santos and Cayetano manage to convince the small populace that they had been sent to the village on a mission, under the purview of the all-powerful Inca Gods, as all-knowing high priests. This was a prime opportunity for the brothers, and they were more than eager to scam each and every one of the villagers for whatever they are worth. The population of Yerba Buena is no greater than 50 or so people, and the majority of the townsfolk were poor, illiterate, and uneducated. It’s the early 1960s, and the Hernandez brothers, petty criminals Santos and Cayetano Hernandez, arrive in Yerba Buena, a small village situated somewhere in Northern Mexico.
